Outdoor Learning in Scottish Education
CPD refresher and pre-assessment courses for teachers, youth workers and volunteers (DofE, John Muir, Cubs, Scouts, Guides etc.) working with young people in the outdoors.

All courses led by Andy Cloquet (professional Mountaineering Instructor (MIC) and GTCS Registered Teacher) and experienced Mountain Leaders / MTB Leaders (MIAS and British Cycling) with a coaching/teaching background.

Course Content includes:
Planning and Preparation - inc. legal, local authority, AALA, Department of Transport and related responsibilities
Curriculum Integration - Linking Outdoor Learning to Curriculum for Excellence, Life Skills & Training The Young Workforce
Additional Needs - managing young peoples' needs in your programme
Activity Planning - making the most of your activity time
Skills Refreshers - Navigation, Group Management, Incident Response, Campcraft, First Aid (these can be linked to Leadership courses from MTUK, Local and Organisation Accreditation - Scouts, Guides DofE)
